甘肃敦煌鸣沙山 Mingsha Shan (Singing Sand Mountain) in Dunhuang, Gansu
Located 5 km south of Dunhuang, Gansu, Shaming Shan got its name because of the singing sand. It has been called Shaming Shan since the Jin Dynasty. It measures over 40 km east-west and 20 km south-north. The main peek has an altitude of 1715 meters.
